Costs for Camino 2020 will vary slightly by the route a pilgrim takes, personal expenditures, and airfare. Typically, pilgrims should expect to pay:

  • Airfare (arrival to Santiago de Compestela for Camino 2020 - flights are arranged by individual pilgrims)

  • $300 Pilgrimage Fee (this is paid by all pilgrims, including Vox Peregrini staff. This fee typically covers costs associated with music purchases, facility rentals, support car rental, travel assistance, and other logistical needs)

  • 25-40 Euro per day for lodging (Vox Peregrini typically makes these arrangements. Pilgrims will typically share rooms — this cost is a per pilgrim expectation)

  • 10-30 Euro per day for food

  • 50 Euro for local bus/train travel

  • 3 Nights Lodging in Santiago de Compestela (given the varied budgets of pilgrims, accommodations in Santiago are made by individual pilgrims)

Optional Costs

  • International Cell/Text Plan

  • Baggage Transfer Service

People need wild places.  Whether or not we think we do, we do.  We need to be able to taste grace and know again that we desire it.  We need to experience a landscape that is timeless, whose agenda moves at the pace of speciation and glaciers.  To be surrounded by a singing, mating, howling commotion of other species, all of which love their lives as much as we do ours, and none of which could possibly care less about us in our place.  It reminds us that our plans are small and somewhat absurd.        BARBARA KINGSOLVER, Small Wonder
